The Passione Extravergine Cultural Association was born in Bari (Apulia, Italy), for the pleasure of sensory experience and the culture of the territories. Extra virgin olive oil is absolute protagonist, but also fancy fantasy and palate.
We met almost everybody during tasting in the Chamber of Commerce. We have immediately found something to share, especially the attention to another aspect of the product, the disclosure. It was a challenge. Talking about extra virgin olive oil in the region that produces about 40% of Italy and in which everyone knows everything or thinks they know it, was an intriguing challenge. We started with little tastings, few people, with the Apulian excellence, in a room that shared the dissemination with us. What do you do to make the product understand to the consumer? Can an experiential approach be used to accompany those who make daily shopping with their own sensory tools, culture, territory, and the right product? We believe in and believe that we bring people to discover the backstage of excellence, starting from a banal question: because in some companies they produce oils that win high prizes and placements in the guides and elsewhere not? What is there that is not elsewhere?
It must be clear, even to those who buy that produce quality extra virgin, which is good for health, it is laborious, requires commitment, experimentation on individual cultivars, crusher skills that must be able to grasp the best from each drupa. Once we consumed the oil to enrich our fat diet, important, which also served on a calorie level, today it is important to consider extravirgin as a food with a small but significant ability to affect the health with valuable nutrients that it contains , To address the delicacy of the table with the aromatic nuances that the substantial biodiversity of Italy can still boast over foreign productions and on which to differentiate.
Passione Extravergine tells the product, but also the territory, because it is from the landscape, from this stunning and fascinating tree, incredibly long-lasting and resistant, which is the fruit of the Passion. Being in Puglia is not a secondary discourse, but the starting challenge: olive culture represents a painful note for Apulia and a great opportunity. Passione Extravergine wants to bring the enthusiasts passionate and passionate the skeptics through the door of pleasure, fun at the table, soft teaching, because having fun learns best. Sensory experience is precious and can be preserved, applying it to any product and replicated, it becomes a way of living more intensely and consuming more consciously. After all, the name says it clearly: ‘Passion’ is a total emotional and physical involvement that food can produce well, ‘extravergine’ does not mean trivially oil, but specifically a category of it and not others.
We find ourselves in friendly evenings. Talking about cultivars and precious oils, and we also ask those who are home to us (usually the Frulez bistrot, who then stores and sells the bottles we taste) to get together with gourmet combinations, of course, to make everyone understand that Playing in the kitchen is also possible with the oil. But it does not end here also free public tastings, trekking to discover the olive grove, educational projects with doctors and schools. The Kit of Passion is also preparing for a better Apulia tour with 5 representative monocultivars, to get a gift to take home and share.
